Yahoo! March 4 launched a package of marketing services for advertisers called Fusion Marketing Online. The packages integrate online advertising, online commerce, direct marketing and other online marketing options into a single media buy. The new bundled services include Media, such as banner ads and sponsorships, Direct Services through Yahoo! Store, direct marketing and customer acquisition programs and integrated offline promotions; and Communications, through targeted e-mail, chat events and content distribution services. Fusion reflects in part, Yahoo!'s acquisition of Yoyodyne, which specializes in permission marketing.
In related Yahoo! news, New York-based Mybasics.com, an online health and beauty product shopping Web site, has entered a marketing agreement with Yahoo! under which mybasics.com will run a customized banner advertising program and sponsor a sweepstakes on Yahoo! Yahoo! also inked a deal with Dallas-based PageNet to offer Yahoo!-branded information to PageNet's wireless subscribers.
