(June 26, 2001) -- Webcam maker Logitech, Fremont, Calif., and Yahoo!, Sunnyvale, Calif., announced an agreement in which Logitech's QuickCams will be promoted with the new Webcam-enabled Yahoo! Messenger service. Yahoo! Messenger just launched the Webcam capability, which allows people to see each other as they chat.

Starting in July, all Logitech Webcams sold in North America and parts of Europe and Australia will be bundled with Yahoo! Messenger. The agreement also includes Yahoo! GeoCities, which will incorporate Webcam functionality. -- Adrienne Mand
