Yahoo! takes to the tube

Yahoo! Corp. this week will launch its first-ever spot TV advertising via San Francisco start-up agency Black Rocket. a formed by former executives from Hal Riney & Partners and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. The 30-second spots will air in the country's top markets, most likely including Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and Chicago. The estimated $10 million campaign introduces Yahoo!'s new slogan, "Do you Yahoo?" The spots mark the first foray into TV advertising by an Internet directory.

Separately, Yahoo! Monday also launched a new Web site called Yahoo! Computing for the intensely computer-savvy Internet user.
