Yahoo!, which has seen both a rash of negative news and a rash of departures in recent weeks, said March 14 that Anil Singh, the company's top sales and marketing executive, would retire in early May. The departure comes less than a week after Yahoo! warned it would miss its first-quarter revenue expectations. The Santa Clara, Calif., company already had plans to beef up its sales staff, including plans to look for a sales executive to take on some of what had been Mr. Singh's responsibilities. In addition to being Yahoo!'s chief sales and marketing officer, Singh was senior vice president, business operations.
