ZD promotes execs

Ziff-Davis Publishing Co., New York, announced major staff repositionings across its magazine publishing, interactive media group, business media group, and new ZDTV divisions. It also announced plans to publish another as-yet-unnamed Internet publication (the company already publishes Yahoo! Internet Life); Angela Young, publisher of three titles at Miller Freeman, San Francisco, becomes its publisher. Other key appointments include Don Byrnes to exec VP-business media group and publishing director, PC Week, from VP-publisher PC Week; Nancy Newman to publisher, PC Magazine, from national associate publisher. In interactive media, Dan Farber becomes VP and editor-in-chief of ZD Net from the same title at PC Week.
