ZD restages Windows title

Published on .

Ziff-Davis, New York, will convert its paid monthly Windows Sources into a controlled circulation title, possibly with the name WindowsPro, focusing on Windows NT. Separately, ComputerLife Publisher Ken Pearl will leave ZD after his magazine is folded into Equip. ZD, separately, will promote its planned April 29 New York Stock Exchange debut by giving traders 7,000 geek-style glasses complete with Band-Aids and 7,000 pocket protectors. "Geek is chic," one Ziff-Davis executive explained.
