ZD, Yahoo! cooperate

Published on .

Internet guide company Yahoo! Corp., Mountain View, Calif. and Ziff-Davis Publishing Co. announced that Ziff's recent launch ZD Internet Life would become Yahoo! Internet Life effective with the next issue appearing on newsstands in February 1996. Ad rates will not change and the rate base of 100,000 will not change for the relaunch of the magazine. On the Web the companies will develop a service called ZD/Yahoo! Computing available before the magazine hits newsstands; it will incorporate an enhanced version of the ZD Net site's Computing Trailblazer in early 1996 that reviews computing sites on the Web. Ziff-Davis will sell advertising for the computer and technology category for Yahoo!, but other ad categories will be handled by Yahoo!'s agency of record, Interactive Marketing Agency.
