ZDNet targets China

Published on .

ZDNet China, a division of Ziff-Davis and published under license to the China Institute of Electronics, is adding an entirely new site dedicated to the Chinese people and written in Chinese. In addition, a database of 14,000 software products will be added with all products rated, reviewed and virus-tested in Chinese. Finally, an option will also be added so that ZDNet China users will receive daily updates of technology industry news.

"The Chinese site on ZDNet is a very important development for ZDNet and for Chinese consumers interested in the Internet and computing," said Adam Powers, director-Asia Pacific for the ZD International Media Group. "This type of industry-related information has traditionally been very limited in China until the launch of ZDNet China earlier this year."
