Zenith, Diba team for Internet TV

Published on .

Zenith Electronics Corp. will license technology from startup company Diba Inc. for its Internet TV devices. Zenith plans to introduce large-screen TVs later this year enabling viewers to access the Internet through a trackball remote control. The TVs, which will retail for $400 to $600, will come with a 28.8 kbps modem.

Diba was founded by Farid Dibachi, formerly senior VP at Oracle, which has its own plans for low-cost Internet devices.
