Zowi Corp., a Web-based payment services company, is rolling out its Cobaltcard, a stored-value card from American Express Co., via a strategic partnership with MTV. Zowi is promoting Cobaltcard through network commercial spots produced by MTV, online promotions and Internet ads on sites attracting young adults. Zowi is also planning a fourth-quarter TV ad campaign running on MTV, as well as targeted teen/young adult sites, including MTV.com, Snowball.com, UGO.com and teen.com. AmEx's Cobaltcard
is a free stored-value card for young adults 13 and older that lets members pay for purchases online and in stores that accept the American Express card.
