Advertising practitioners were rated as being slightly more trustworthy than car salesmen -- but less trustworthy than lawyers -- in a recent Gallup poll
that asked people to rate the honesty and ethics of various professions. Only 10 percent of respondents rated the honesty of ad folks as "high" or "very high" -- just one point better than the cellar-dwelling salesmen.
Does this mean Advertising Week didn't work? Don't tell the icons. They worked so hard.
