Apple Blows a Fuse?

It seems renegade music channel Fuse and ad agency Amalgamated -- who were thwarted in an attempt to post an anti-MTV billboard across from MTV's Times Square HQ in August -- are proceeding with their media strategy of stirring up as much controversy as possible. The New York Post reports today that Apple is "outraged" about Fuse's new parodies of the iPod "Silhouette" campaign that are popping up all over Manhattan. In Fuse's version -- featured in yesterday's PrintCritic E-mail, which you really ought to sign up for immediately (yes, it's free) -- we see colorful silhouettes of people watching videos while engaging in sordid activities like beer-bonging and pole-dancing.
