Brother, Cannes You Spare a Dime?

Published on .

Going to Cannes this year? Why not contribute some of the money you'll spend (or spill) on the Carlton Terrace to a good cause? That's the idea behind CannesDo, a fundraising initiative spearheaded by Robert Campbell -- managing director of London production company Outsider -- McCann Europe creative director Robert Campbell (no relation), James Studholme of London production shop Blink, and former Leo Burnett Milan producer Maria Carbonara. The idea is for everyone who attends Cannes to contribute 50 Euros, which will go to Ashoka, a global non-profit that seeks and funds social entrepreneurs. Visit www.cannesdo.org, and sleep well at this year's International Advertising Festival -- if you plan on sleeping.
