Mike Freeman, who recently won a brand new Buick Ranier by playing golf against Tiger Woods as part of the carmaker's Tiger Trap
promotion, has learned that there's a downside to luck. Although he was lucky enough to be on the course when Tiger was challenging golfers to a closest-to-the-pin contest, his win has come at a price. Winning the car has comprimised his amateur status, which means the reigning Orlando City Amateur champion may have to stay out of competition for a year. "This isn't the way I wanted it to work out," he tells the Sun Sentinel
. "I'm definitely not complaining, but I have to sit out a year, which hurts me more than anybody." He's right not to complain, since at least he got to play with Tiger. He could've gotten stuck teeing off with Harley Earl -- whoever that is.
