P&G has pulled a Pringles ad at the suggestion of the Children's Advertising Review Unit (CARU) -- an arm of the industry-run National Advertising Review Council -- because the commercial shows four friends sharing more than one can of potato chips. According to, the ad "raised concern" for CARU, because -- with six servings per can -- one can of Pringles should have been plenty for four friends to share. Right. Next they're going to tell us that it only takes one beer to have the honeys crawling all over you.
