Won't Get Fooled Again?

Geez. It's like April Fools' Day didn't even happen. Howard Stern briefly disappeared from the air -- a hoax -- and Google announced plans to offer free e-mail accounts with a gigabyte of storage -- apparently not a hoax -- but the ad industry mostly sat this one out. The only marketing prank we've heard about came from BMW in the U.K., where the company ran an ad in The Guardian plugging its new SHEF technology -- short for Satellite Hypersensitive Electromagnetic Foodration -- which allegedly allows you to cook up dinner from your car, via satellite. Visit the SHEF site for more on this imaginary technology.
