Hot Copy(writer)

Published on .

The latest reality TV series, Cupid, turns out to feature an ad biz twist. The show, which debuts tonight on CBS, follows a woman as she scours the country looking for her match. But when she's not looking for her mate, Lisa Shannon -- the show's star (and, judging from her publicity photo, a Courteney Cox impersonator) -- is a copywriter at Campbell-Ewald in Warren, Mich. One of the show's hooks, meanwhile, is that Shannon will have two friends help her weed through the contenders. For that purpose, she's chosen hairstylist Laura Restum and Kimberly Tarter, a former Campbell-Ewald colleague who joined Detroit post house Grace & Wild as an account executive earlier this year.
