Scion Pulls Peyote Scene

Published on .

Toyota's edgy Scion brand has gotten a street-cred boost even advertising can't buy by angering The Man himself -- the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. At issue, according to AdAge.com, is a webisode of an animated online series called "303 Caliber," which used to contain a scene of a character popping peyote. The short has been edited, however, in response to criticism from the ONDCP. As a spokesman for the organization scowls, "Marketing the abuse of dangerous substances to young people isn't funny."
