AdAge.com reports on a recent study that found that consumers are pretty confused when it comes to the terminology tech companies use to market consumer electronics. For example, "71% of respondents said they could explain what a digital video recorder is to a friend. But only 36% said they could explain to a friend what TiVo was." Furthermore, 16% of those surveyed said they owned a DVR, while only 4% actually do.
