Women's Work

Published on .

The Women's Image Network -- which has been honoring movies and TV programming created by, or offering positive portrayals of, women since 1993 -- has added an advertising category to its 11th Annual WIN Awards lineup. The new awards will honor "outstanding television advertising created or directed by a woman," although men can also submit work since WIN also "honors advertising that promotes empowering female media messages." The slate of judges includes Leo Burnett's Cheryl Berman, Joyce King Thomas of McCann-Erickson/N.Y., Sally Hogshead, Goodby's Jamie Barrett and Luke Sullivan, among others.
