There are some weeks in which nothing really jumps up and screams, loudly and proudly, right in your face: Pick of the Week! At the end of those kinds of weeks, there's only one thing to do: pick the catchphrase. This week, "Are you going to the vigil" gave us a disproportionate amount of pleasure. The fact that it's inexplicably uttered in a Scottish accent by a Canadian schoolkid is just icing on the cake. Actually there's more than a few delicious lines to recommend both spots in this campaign for Solo Mobile from Vancouver agency Rethink. The spots, "Vigil" and "Housewarming" make use of the age old telephone game-—which has certainly been employed in more than one ad in its time-—but the delivery is fresh and there are executional grace notes aplenty. Oh who am I kidding? We all know I picked this spot because it's from Canada. Happy belated Eh Day compadres!
