It can't all be poop and ball sacks. There is a serious issue to discuss here and "The Day You Went to Work" tackles it effectively.

This road safety PSA from M&C Saatchi London and Gorgeous director Vince Squibb follows an ordinary chap doing ordinary morning things before setting out for day that's ordinary until it isn't. Drastically, life-alteringly isn't. As we've seen, road safety is a surprisingly difficult brief—conveying the horror of vehicular mishap is easy to do with shocking collisions but you can only absorb so many scenes of bent bodies before you tune out or turn off or at least roll your eyes. Gorgeous director Chris Palmer and Leo Burnett did a fine job of it with the award-winning teen-focused spot famously shot on a cell-phone and here Palmer's rostermate delivers something subtler, yet in its own way just as shocking. Much as evil can be banal, tragedy is often a quotidian affair and it's that chilling idea, wonderfully executed, that drives this spot from beginning to end.
