Havas has tapped Andrew Altersohn as president, Havas Digital, North America, effective immediately. Mr. Altersohn joins Havas Digital from Publicis Modem USA, where he was an executive leadership team member and founding member of the New York office. During his tenure at Publicis Modem, he held multiple positions, including client relationship lead (working on accounts such as Hasbro, Dice Holding and LG Electronics), practice group leader for strategy and analysis, and office lead for new-business development. Previously, he held senior level strategy and client service positions with Ogilvy, Sullivan & Co. and Digitas, where he was a founding member of that agency's New York office and strategy practice.

Jeff Wachtel and Chris McCumber have been promoted to co-presidents of USA Network, charged with overseeing strategic direction and operations across all platforms for USA Mr. McCumber was named exec VP-marketing, digital and brand strategy in December 2007, after holding the title of senior VP since November 2004. In addition to oversight of all marketing and branding for the network, he was responsible for the conception, development and execution of the branding slogan "Characters Welcome." Mr. Wachtel joined USA in 2001 as exec VP-series and long-form programming. As president-original programming, he has overseen the development of scripted series such as "White Collar" and "Psych," as well as original movies and miniseries. As co-head of creative for Universal Cable Productions, he shares oversight of all aspects of studio operations.

Jill Applebaum has joined DraftFCB, New York as senior VP-group creative director. In her new role, she will lead creative efforts for several agency accounts, including Oreo and Gevalia Kaffe. Ms. Applebaum most recently was creative director at Y&R/BrandBuzz, where she crafted integrated campaigns for brands such as LG Electronics, Sharpie and Burt's Bees. Also at Draft, DraftFCB Healthcare has tapped Amber Edwards as exec VP-group management director, charged with directing the agency's direct-to-consumer accounts, including Novartis, Merck and Amgen. Ms. Edwards was previously marketing director at Allergan in Irvine, Calif., where she led all consumer and digital initiatives for dermatology brands, including Botox Cosmetic and Juvederm.

The Marketing Store Worldwide, a privately held marketing-services agency, has promoted Simon Marshall to exec VP and managing director of North America, a new position for the organization. Mr. Marshall joined The Marketing Store in 2007 as managing director of Europe, based out of London. In his new role, he will be based at the company's global headquarters located in Lombard, Illinois, and will lead the alignment of the three North American offices in Chicago, Lombard and Toronto, whose clients include McDonald's, Nissan, Coca-Cola North America and Transitions Optical.

Cheristy L. Bunyan has been hired as VP-managing director, digital at Horizon Media. Ms. Bunyan most recently served as exec VP-client services at Threshold Interactive Marketing, where she was the strategic lead for all Nestle Brands, including Butterfinger, Nestle Pure Life, Gerber and Baby Ruth, among others. Also at Horizon, Donnie Williams was promoted to chief digital officer. Mr. Williams was previously VP-director of digital strategy and has been with the company for five years.

Music Choice has boosted Vince Amalfi from director-advertising sales to senior director-adverting sales. Mr. Amalfi has created long-term partnerships for advertisers such as Disney, CW, Sony and Kia with every division of Music Choice -- interactive network SWRV, video on demand and music channels. Mr. Amalfi has been with the company since 2007 and is based in Los Angeles.
