Though his is a new position, he assumes the duties of Melissa Lea, senior vice president of marketing, who has resigned. She has not announced her professional plans; she will remain at Arnold until the end of the year.
Oversees integrated marketing
Prior to his promotion, Mr. Reilly was senior vice president and director of integrated marketing. He will continue to oversee Arnold's integrated marketing, which includes promotions, interactive, direct marketing, design and public relations and accounts for 20% of the agency's revenue.
Mr. Reilly will work with Arnold offices in New York, St. Louis and McLean, Va. He will report to Karen Driscoll, managing partner and director of operations, and Fran Kelly, president and chief operating officer.
Mr. Reilly, 38, has been at Arnold since 1994, having also worked at Omnicom Group's DDB Needham in Chicago.
