Former McCann Exec Was Director of Coke Brands at Interpublic

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- WPP Group's Berlin Cameron/Red Cell, New York, hired William Grogan to be the ad agency's president, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Mr. Grogan was director of Coca-Cola Co.'s Coke brands at Interpublic Group of Cos., and executive vice president of Interpublic's McCann-Erickson Worldwide. Last December, Mr. Gorgan announced plans to take an executive post at AOL Time Warner's Global Marketing Solutions group.

Berlin Cameron its creative agency of record for Coca-Cola Classic in North America, replacing McCann-Erickson. (After he left McCann for AOL, Mr. Grogan's wife, Lori Senecal, was named head of the Coca-Cola business at McCann.)

Mr. Grogan did not return calls for comment. Calls to Andy Berlin, co-CEO of Berlin Cameron, were not returned at press time.

AOL Time Warner said Mr. Grogan left the company to "pursue other opportunities"; his last day was March 28.

"Bill Grogan did a great job in the short time he was here," said the president of Global Marketing Solutions, Mike Kelly, who added that a replacement will be named in the near future.
