NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Romain Hatchuel, the former CEO of the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, is joining Euro RSCG Worldwide as director of global new business.

Mr. Hatchuel, 30, left the Cannes festival last month to return to Paris and pursue a career in the ad industry. He was replaced at the festival by Franz Prenner, an Austrian TV executive.

Mr. Hatchuel has been an immensely popular and respected festival CEO. He had made it clear that the 2001 festival would be his last, and he prepared the way for his departure by recruiting Mr. Prenner.
