Peter McHugh is slated to join the Minneapolis agency Oct. 1 as its chief creative officer. He succeeds Jack Supple, who will continue as chairman and managing partner.
The hiring marks Mr. McHugh's return to Minneapolis. Before joining 180 in 2001, he was a group creative director at Publicis Groupe's Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis. He worked on Nordstrom, Miller Brewing Co., Lee Jeans, Citibank and Holiday Inn.
Mr. McHugh worked on the global Adidas business at 180. The agency has garnered a great deal of buzz lately, winning three Gold Lions at Cannes this year and was a runner-up in the Agency of the Year award.
