Suzanne Grimes has been appointed president-chief operating officer of Clear Channel Outdoor Americas, effective January 1, 2013. Ms. Grimes previously served as president of the U.S. Lifestyle Communities group at Reader's Digest Association, where she also led the Reader's Digest business units in Canada and India. Prior to Reader's Digest, Ms. Grimes spent a decade at Condé Nast leading the team responsible for advertising sales across a portfolio of 30 consumer magazine brands. Earlier at the company, she served as VP-publisher of Women's Sports & Fitness, Allure and Glamour magazines. Ms. Grimes also spent time at News Corp. as senior VP-publisher of TV Guide, expanding their local advertising proposition to attract higher-end national advertising partners.
Meredith Xcelerated Marketing, Meredith Corp.'s global customer-engagement agency, has named Greg Kahn as chief business development officer. Mr. Kahn joined Optimedia International in 2007, most recently serving as exec VP-business development director. His clients included BBC America, Disney, L'Oreal, Pizza Hut and T-Mobile. Prior to Optimedia, Mr. Kahn was VP-research and strategy at Omnicom's PHD, and before that was president of filmBUZZ. He began his career with various marketing positions at YouthStream Media/Alloy Inc. and Viacom Inc./Showtime Networks. In 2010, Mr. Kahn was selected as an Advertising Age Media Maven as well as a Mediaweek All-Star.
Advertising Age Media Maven Thomas Hartman has joined Networked Insights as senior VP-sales and marketing. For the past nine years, Mr. Hartman worked in a series of increasingly senior roles at Condé Nast, serving most recently as senior VP-corporate sales. Previously, he lead Condé Nast's Gourmet, as VP-publisher, following four years as the publication's associate publisher. Earlier, he served in sales management at Vogue and at American Express Publishing's Travel & Leisure. He has also been senior VP-worldwide advertising at Walt Disney Internet Group's Go.com and regional VP-strategic sales at DoubleClick.
Tiffany Coletti Titolo, who was named to Ad Age 's Women to Watch in 2012, has joined Translation in the new role of managing director, overseeing the marketing agency's New York and Chicago offices. Before taking a recent role at StrawberryFrog, New York, Ms. Coletti Titolo was managing director of DOJO. Prior, she was group account director at Eleven, Inc., and before that , director-business development for McCann Worldgroup. Through her career, she has worked on brands including General Motors, Apple, Microsoft, Virgin America, Visa and AT&T. Translation, founded by Steve Stoute in 2004, counts State Farm, Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Target and Anheuser-Busch among its clients.
MEC has hired John Baker as managing partner-regional media director on Colgate-Palmolive in Latin America and Jill Brady as media and engagement planning director for Colgate channel strategy in North America. Both executives will work in Red Fuse Communications , an integrated WPP unit created to service Colgate globally. Mr. Baker was previously at Mindshare as executive director-client lead for Sprint, and before that was VP-group account director at Publicis USA, leading strategy and creative development for Procter & Gamble's Vicks Global and ThermaCare brands. He has also held strategic leadership roles for brands such as Nestle, Kraft and Visa.
Ms. Brady spent 12 years at Mindshare, New York, most recently as managing partner-managing director on LG and Audible.com. Throughout her career, she has held worked across local, national and global markets for brands including American Express, Kimberly-Clark, Dial, USPS, Conoco Phillips and Unilever.
