Comcast International Media Names Duccio Donati Exec VP

Duccio Donati has been promoted to exec VP, Comcast International Media. In his new role, Mr. Donati will be responsible for direct reports and oversight of E!, the Style Network, Versus, Golf Channel and G4. He first joined the company as sales executive in 1999 and has led the company's international sales division, expanding its presence with local offices in London and Hong Kong. Mr. Donati became senior VP in 2008, taking over responsibility for the company's new media efforts and overseeing the launch of E! Online in the U.K., Australia, France, Germany and Italy.

Matt Herrmann was appointed exec VP-chief strategy officer, McCann Erickson West. Mr. Herrmann joins McCann Erickson from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, where he was deputy director-brand strategy. During his five years at Goodby, he led brand strategy and creative development on top agency accounts including Haagen-Dazs, Rolling Rock, Quaker Foods, eBay and Hyundai. Prior to that time, he served in a senior account planning capacity at Bartle Bogle Hegarty in New York, leading the account planning function for all BBH Diageo brands in North America.

Turner Entertainment ad sales and marketing has tapped Dan Riess as senior VP-promotions and marketing. Previously, Mr. Riess was VP-marketing and ad solutions for Turner Broadcasting System's new products group. During this time, Mr. Riess helped spearhead the launch of Turner's TVinContext, which offers advertisers an opportunity to run ad creative adjacent to contextually relevant scenes across a large in-house feature film library. Prior to that role, he headed all marketing efforts in support of Turner's GameTap, a broadband video-game network that launched in October 2005.

The Competitor Group has named Bouker Pool senior VP-marketing. Most recently, Mr. Pool served as VP-sports marketing and events for Rodale Inc., where he managed Rodale's sports marketing and events group. He also founded a sports marketing and sponsorship practice called Podion Sponsorship Group (PSG) in Colorado, working with clients such as United Airlines, USA Basketball, Quiznos Corp. and the National MS Society. Prior to founding PSG, he was VP for Denver marketing firm Proxy Partners. Competitor Group is an endurance-media and event-entertainment company that promotes running, cycling and triathlon.

The Outdoor Channel announced two executive promotions: Randy Brown was promoted from senior VP to exec VP-affiliate sales and marketing, and Greg Harrigan was elevated from senior VP to exec VP-advertising sales. Mr. Brown joined Outdoor Channel in September 2007, bringing more than two decades of proven experience from companies such as ESPN and Tennis Channel. Mr. Harrigan has been with Outdoor since May 2002.

Video advertising technology company YuMe has appointed Michael Hudes as exec VP. In his new role, Mr. Hudes will focus on corporate development and the adoption of YuMe's ACE video-advertising platform. Before coming to YuMe, Mr. Hudes was president-innovation strategy and growth for Interpublic Group's Mediabrands and president and chief operating officer of Organic, Inc. Most recently, he was CEO at Keystream, where he led the development of a platform for publishers and advertisers to create dynamic overlay advertising units to more effectively monetize video content.
