Comcast Entertainment Group has expanded the roles of three marketing executives: Bear Fisher has been named senior VP-creative director, E! Entertainment and The Style Network to oversee the creative advertising team for the networks across all platforms; Leigh Anne Gardner has been promoted to senior VP-print and online design, Comcast Entertainment Group; and Mark Scheider has been promoted to VP-print and online design, Comcast Entertainment Group. Ms. Fisher previously served as VP-on-air promotions. Prior to joining E! and Style in 2001, she was director-on-air promotions at FX Networks. Ms. Gardner was previously VP-print and online design and Mr. Scheider was most recently executive creative director for Comcast Entertainment Group.
Dorel Recreational/Leisure, a division of Dorel Industries, has appointed Andrew Coccari as its new global chief marketing officer. Mr. Coccari joins the organization from Honeywell, where he was global head of marketing. With 15 years of experience in marketing strategy, he has developed and managed multi-million dollar campaigns for brands such as Land Rover, BMW, Pennzoil, Castrol and Mobil 1, and he worked on the launch of the Garnier brand for L'Oreal. Mr. Coccari also brings a strong sports-marketing background, most notably as VP-marketing and innovation for Shell's North American division.
Susan Taylor has been named to the new role of exec VP- managing director of Carat's West Coast offices. Ms. Taylor was previously exec VP-managing partner for PHD on the West Coast. She has worked on both the creative and media sides of the agency business, having served as senior VP-director of operations at Serino Coyne, a full-service agency specializing in live-theater marketing, as well as doing marketing work for Orion Pictures, Universal Pictures and DDB.
R/GA has named Sean McCarthy VP-managing director. Mr. McCarthy has more than 15 years of domestic and international integrated-marketing experience and has overseen the growth and expansion efforts of Kraft Foods, Oscar Mayer and Gillette. Prior to joining R/GA, he was senior VP-account director at DDB Chicago, where he oversaw the digital, direct and mass efforts for AT&T's B-to-B account. From 2005 to 2008, he worked at DraftFCB Worldwide, Chicago, where he contributed to the growth of Qwest Communications and The Dow Chemical Company in North America and Europe.
Christopher Sanders has joined BuzzMedia as VP-ad sales. He comes to BuzzMedia from About.com, where he served as VP-Western U.S., leading a team driving sales and client solutions across the region. Mr. Sanders will be charged with leading Bay Area and Pacific Northwest sales teams for the social-media publisher.
Aaron Starkman was promoted to chief creative officer and partner of communications company Zig. Mr. Starkman, who has been with Zig for eight years, previously served as a creative director and writer at the agency, working on clients including Molson Canadian, Ikea, Best Buy and Corus Entertainment. During his tenure at Zig, Mr. Starkman's work has been recognized and awarded at every major national and international award show, including the Digital Marketing Awards, D&AD, the Clios, One Show and Cannes.
Cary Munk and Ellen Guggenheim have joined SheSpeaks as VPs of business development. Mr. Munk will be based in SheSpeaks' New York headquarters, and Ms. Guggenheim will be based in Chicago. Mr. Munk comes to the marketing and social-media platform from CafeMom, where he was East Coast sales director. Before that, he held strategic sales positions at WebMD, ScanScout and Travelocity. Ms. Guggenheim most recently served as VP-business development and client services for Nielsen Online/BuzzMetrics. She has also held strategic sales and management positions at Jupiter Media Metrix and NeuroFocus.
