Anita Puri has joined Digitas as senior VP-marketing for the Kraft account. Ms. Puri comes to the agency from Quaker Foods & Snacks, where she was director-marketing, leading the equity and marketing communications group for the PepsiCo division. In this role, she led the development and execution of the launch of Quaker's "Go humans go" campaign. Her past PepsiCo positions include director-consumer insights and strategy and senior manager-marketing innovation.
Matt Timothy was promoted to president of Vindico Group. He will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the video-dedicated ad-serving and tracking platform. Mr. Timothy spent 12 years at CBS, starting as the company's first interactive-sales hire and ultimately rising to VP-general manager of CBS.com and CBSNews.com. After CBS, he spent two years as senior VP-advanced advertising at National Cable Communications (NCC). He is also a co-founder of Funnel Networks, a media-analytics company focused on the effectiveness of pharmaceutical advertising.
Holly Wasson has been named VP-asset management for Turner Media Group. In her newly created role, Ms. Wasson will lead the strategic management of media assets across the Turner portfolio. Over the past 10 years, she has held various key roles within TNT and TBS's marketing group. Most recently, Ms. Wasson was senior director-marketing for Turner Entertainment Networks, where she oversaw marketing strategy for original and acquired programming, including TNT's "Men of a Certain Age" and "The Closer," and "TBS's My Boys."
Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable, has promoted Dan Sinagoga to VP-political advertising. Mr. Sinagoga, who previously served as Comcast Spotlight's director-political sales, will continue to lead the company's political advertising-sales strategy, with a focus on expanding its online, on-demand and interactive television efforts. He joined Comcast Spotlight in 2004 as a regional sales manager.
Horizon Media announced two new hires to its executive team: Frank Zoller has joined as VP-brand group director in the brand-strategy group of the media-service agency's New York office, and Heather Hoyer has come aboard as VP-associate managing director in the brand strategy group of the Los Angeles office. Mr. Zoller was most recently VP-strategy director at PHD and Ms. Hoyer was VP-account director at Carat.
Social-marketing agency Mr Youth has appointed Ethelbert Williams as VP-brand development of its newly founded Midwest office. He joins Mr Youth from Nokia, where he served as global head of marketing in the U.K. Prior to Nokia, Mr. Williams was global director-integrated marketing at Starcom Mediavest, working on accounts including Nintendo, Kraft, P&G, ESPN and Kellogg.
