Linda Perry last month rejoined Ammirati Puris Lintas, New York, as senior VP-group director, direct marketing, to work on Dell Computer Corp.'s home and small business account. Though the account resides squarely on the general ad side, Ms. Perry was hired to champion direct in the overall mix. Ammirati handles print and TV; Rapp Collins Worldwide handles all direct mail, while BBDO Worldwide does branding. "These days," Ms. Perry said, "so many clients are moving to direct models and . . . asking for accountability."
