Havas' Euro RSCG, MPG to Defend Estimated $300 Million Business
Marcus Kemp, 52, a worldwide creative director and managing director at Euro, has been named to the newly created position of vice chairman and chief creative officer of BBDO's Atlanta office. There he'll work on creative developments for Cingular Wireless, ING, Bayer Advanced and the Peace Corps, among other accounts, and on business development.
Euro has no plans to replace Mr. Kemp at this time, a spokesman said.
Blue Man Group
At Euro, Mr. Kemp led the campaign featuring the Blue Man Group for the launch of Intel's Centrino processor for wireless computing. During his tenure at the Havas-owned agency, he also worked on the accounts of Hallmark, Volvo and Polaroid. He has also worked on two other car accounts: BMW North America, while at Ammirati & Puris, and General Motor Corp.'s Saturn, while at Publicis Groupe's Hal Riney & Partners.
$300 million account
The semiconductor-maker announced this fall that its $300 million account was going into review. Euro and the incumbent media agency, MPG, also part of Havas, are defending while the major holding companies, including Omnicom, have been asked to put together teams for the pitch. Select independents have also been invited. The process is expected to last through the first quarter of 2005.
