Michael Wall will assume the newly created post and oversee the advertising company's offices in Hong Kong, London, Sao Paolo, Singapore and Tokyo. Mr. Wall will report to agency CEO Pat Fallon.
Expanding global presence
"Creating this position shows our belief in Michael as a leader as well as Fallon's serious commitment to expanding our global presence," Fallon said in a statement.
According to a company spokeswoman, Mr. Wall will primarily be charged with bringing in new business and scouting for expansion opportunities. The company's goal is to have 10 offices in major world business centers.
India and China
Mr. Wall said there were no immediate plans to open additional offices. But he cited India and China as two markets he is eyeing.
Mr. Wall was a founding partner of Fallon's London office in 1998. Previously he was an account and client services director for TBWA Simons Palmer. The London office quickly made a splash and has amassed a roster of blue chip clients including Sony Corp.'s consumer electronics brands. The office also launched a highly praised campaign for VW's Skoda.
Mr. Wall thinks that track record gives him the experience to push the brand internationally. "It's a fledgling network that has a lot of opportunity ahead of it in the marketplace," Mr. Wall said.
