Neeraj Khemlani was named to the new position of VP and special assistant to the CEO for digital media at Hearst. He will be responsible for promoting and coordinating digital-content transformation across the company. Mr. Khemlani was formerly VP-general manager of Yahoo News and Information and Yahoo Originals. In that position, he managed the business and products of Yahoo News, Tech, Weather and Education and the editorial programming for Yahoo Finance, as executive editor. From 1998 to 2006, Mr. Khemlani was a producer for CBS News' "60 Minutes" and "60 Minutes II."
Hurrah Marketing, a representation firm for broadcast designers and creative companies, tapped Carol Eisenrauch as president and head of global business development. Ms. Eisenrauch was most recently VP-global sales and marketing for Promax/BDA, the world's leading trade organization for TV-promotion, marketing and broadcast-design executives. She has also worked extensively with numerous advertising agencies in the production of commercial photography, illustration and TV commercials.
D. Scott Karnedy was appointed chief sales officer of Premier Retail Networks. Mr. Karnedy joins PRN from XM Satellite Radio in New York, where he had served as senior VP-sales and marketing solutions since 2003. He was previously senior VP-director of national sales at Infinity Broadcasting in New York, and before that was VP-interactive marketing at AOL Time Warner.
Travel Ad Network named Anthony Katsur its chief technical officer. Mr. Katsur most recently served as chief operating officer at Heavy, where he launched the Husky Media Network, a next-generation video-monetization platform. Travel Ad Networks has become the No. 1 worldwide travel audience in ComScore rankings, surpassing TripAdvisor.
Leslie Glenn Chesloff was appointed exec VP-programming for Ion Media Networks. In this newly created position, Ms. Chesloff will oversee the development of original content as well as all program acquisitions and scheduling for Ion Television. She joins Ion from Lifetime Entertainment Services, where she was senior VP-planning, scheduling and acquisitions.
Pro Motion, a St. Louis-based experiential, face-to-face marketing company, hired Grady Phelan as VP-creative and strategic development, a new position within Pro Motion. Mr. Phelan brings more than 20 years of strategic and creative experience from both the client and agency side of the business. In addition to that experience, he was also the advertising department chairman of the premier post-graduate creative school Portfolio Center.
Stir Communications, a strategic advertising, marketing and communications firm headquartered in Miami, promoted Damian Garcia to chief strategic officer/vision stirrer. Mr. Garcia joined Stir in June 2008 and was previously CEO of global marketing company Bridger Conway.
Anthony Donnarumma was promoted from West Coast VP-operations to chief financial officer at 24 Seven, a creative-talent-placement agency. Mr. Donnarumma recently joined 24 Seven after the company's merger with the Gromwell Group, where he served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
