Luane Kohnke was promoted to senior VP-managing director, analytics and accountability at R/GA. Ms. Kohnke joined R/GA in May 2007 as managing director-data intelligence. Under her leadership, data intelligence doubled in size and increased revenue. R/GA is a full-service digital agency and was the only digital agency named to Ad Age's A-List in 2006. Ad Age's sister publication, Creativity, named R/GA Interactive Agency of the Year in 2007.
Search-engine-optimization agency SEO Logic hired Gene Daly as its new CEO. He comes to the company from Ketchum Directory Advertising in Chicago, where he was president-CEO. Over the past few years, Ketchum and SEO Logic collaborated on a number of client projects, which ultimately inspired Mr. Daly's leap to SEO Logic. Mr. Daly takes over from SEO Logic founder C.J. Newton, who will move into the role of chief strategic officer.
Allen & Gerritsen (a&g), one of New England's largest independent advertising agencies, added to its roster two senior hires from major agencies: Catherine Kolodij, former VP-strategy at Hill Holliday, was tapped as VP-audience intelligence director; and Brian Donovan, who has spent 12 years at Digitas, was named VP-group marketing director. What does an audience intelligence director do, you might ask? Ms. Kolodij will be charged with heading qualitative and quantitative research, strategic positioning and developing tools to bring insights to clients.
Katrina Cukaj continued her nine-year career growth at CNN Advertising Sales with her recent promotion to senior VP-advertising sales. She most recently held the title of VP-CNN ad sales. Ms. Cukaj also leads CNN Advantage, CNN's multicultural sales and marketing unit.
Bruce Gillmer, a 21-year veteran of MTV Networks, was appointed senior VP-talent and music for MTV Networks International. In his new role, Mr. Gillmer gets to lead all talent-related decisions relevant to this year's MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs), which will take place Nov. 6 in Liverpool, U.K.
Jim Christie joined Digitas' New York office as senior VP-creative. He comes to the agency from Adobe Systems where, as worldwide creative director-brand strategy, he led brand creative for the launch of Creative Suite 3, the largest product launch in Adobe's history.
