Appssavvy has named Jack Bamberger chief client officer, a newly created position. In his new position, he will lead the company's account management, sales and marketing teams. Mr. Bamberger was most recently at Katalyst, a studio for social media founded by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg. His 25 years of experience include serving Meredith Corporation in a number of leadership positions, including chief innovation officer of Meredith 360, a strategic, client-focused sales and marketing organization. He has also held senior positions at Gruner + Jahr USA and IndustryClick.com, and spent nearly a decade at Time Warner driving sales and marketing for The Parenting Group and Sports Illustrated.

Cie Studios has appointed Edward Yu president of the company. Mr. Yu spent the past 15 years at leading ad agencies including Saatchi and Saatchi, Doner and Euro RSCG Worldwide, executing work for such brands as Toyota, Honda, Mazda, American Century Investments, Acura, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Neutrogena. Most recently, as president of Citizen7 Studios, he built a startup full-service advertising agency from scratch for a division of Entrepreneur Media.

Euro RSCG, Chicago, has tapped Jason Peterson as chief creative officer, effective December 1, 2010. Mr. Peterson most recently served as executive creative director at Translation, New York. In that position, he led the teams that created campaigns that brought together brands and music for brands such as McDonald's, Target , State Farm and Wrigley. Before joining Translation, he served as creative director and founding partner at Berlin Cameron and Partners. While there, he worked on Coca-Cola, Heineken, GM and Comcast, among other clients. He also spent time in creative roles at Fallon and Berlin Wright Cameron, where he developed creative for such accounts as the NBA, Nikon, Volkswagen and MTV.

David Jones has joined Proximity Canada's strategy and insights group in the newly created role of VP-social strategy effective. Mr. Jones recently left Hill & Knowlton, Toronto, where he was VP and group leader-digital communications and part of the agency's global digital team. He has worked on developing social-media strategies for clients including Hewlett-Packard, Molson, Motorola, Waterfront Toronto, Ontario Cabinet Office and Yellowtail wines.

Rainbow Media has announced new roles for two of its top advertising sales executives. Bill Rosolie, formerly exec VP-advertising sales for AMC, has been named exec VP, Rainbow national services, ad sales, a new position overseeing the growing digital advertising sales effort for Rainbow's five national networks (AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel, WE tv and Wedding Central), as well as direct response. Scott Collins, previously exec VP-advertising sales for WE tv and Wedding Central, will expand his current role to include overseeing advertising sales for AMC. Mr. Rosolie has overseen AMC ad sales since 2006. He joined Rainbow Media in 2005 as senior VP-ad sales for Fuse after serving as senior VP-director of advertising sales for the TV Guide Television Group. Mr. Collins joined Rainbow Media as senior VP-advertising sales for WE tv in January 2008. Before joining Rainbow, he was VP-advertising sales for NBC Universal Cable Entertainment. Prior to NBC's merger with Universal Television, he was VP of specials for both USA and Sci Fi (Now Syfy).
