been vacant since April 2001, when the agency's former president, Bob Jeffrey, became president of JWT North America. Mr. Jeffrey in September was named CEO of JWT North America. In the interim, he had been overseeing the New York office.

JWT is part of WPP Group.

Ms. Ryan has been Kirshenbaum Bond's president for five years and has a background in account planning. At JWT, she will help manage a portfolio of clients including Pfizer, which placed $180 million worth of business at the agency following WPP's acquisition of Cordiant Communications Group earlier this year. The agency did, however, lose the Celebrex account to Publicis Groupe's Kaplan Thaler Group.
