President-CEO Moves to Handle Special Projects

DETROIT (AdAge.com) -- Kia Motors America, Irvine, Calif., shuffled its top management.

B.M. Ahn, 51, president-CEO, will head a special project at Hyundai Automotive Group, the U.S. umbrella for Kia and sibling Hyundai Motor America.

He is succeeded by J.H. Lee, 52, who had been president-CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada.

Peter Butterfield, 48, who joined Kia in November as executive vice president of sales and marketing from Volvo Cars of North America, becomes executive vice president and chief operating officer.

His former postition isn't being filled, a Kia spokesman said.
