Lacek Group Names John Jarvis CCO-Managing Partner

Lacek Group, a specialty agency of Ogilvy & Mather, has appointed John Jarvis chief creative officer and managing partner. Mr. Jarvis most recently owned and operated Giraffe Marketing, a strategic and creative consultancy practice in Minneapolis. Prior to starting Giraffe, he was CEO and chief creative officer of MDC-owned Colle & McVoy in Minneapolis. In addition to his creative duties, Mr. Jarvis will serve on Lacek's executive committee.

Rachel Chou has been named chief marketing officer of Open Road Integrated Media, a content marketing company that focuses on the e-book. Ms. Chou, who has more than 15 years of experience in online content and product development, will guide the development of the company's web marketing platform. Prior to Open Road, she was VP-online product development for HarperCollins Publishers. She has also been executive producer at R/GA and director-shared services for Scholastic.com.

News America Marketing has expanded Steve Ross' role as exec VP-entertainment and specialty marketing to exec VP-entertainment and thematic partnerships. Mr. Ross has worked for News America Marketing for the past three years. He is the former head of global entertainment and business development at Mattel and also spent more than a dozen years at Twentieth Century Fox, where he was president- worldwide licensing and merchandising.

Rachel Wintner has joined Glam Media as VP-sales. In this newly created position, Ms. Wintner will oversee advertising sales for the southwest region and will open Glam Media's Los Angeles office. She makes the move from Condé Nast, where she most recently served as associate publisher of Style.com. During her tenure at Style.com, she also served as fashion director, advertising manager and West Coast advertising director. Before joining Condé Nast Digital, Ms. Wintner handled marketing at Wiley Publishing, Primedia and 24/7 Real Media.

Twenty-two year ESPN veteran Mo Davenport has been named senior VP of ESPN Radio, responsible for the leadership, management and oversight of ESPN Audio and all related content created for digital platforms and ESPN Station Group. Additionally, Jim Pastor assumes the role of senior VP of the newly created ESPNLocal.com, following the recent launches of ESPNChicago.com, ESPNBoston.com, ESPNDallas.com and ESPNLosAngeles.com; and Mike Connolly, formerly with Citadel Broadcasting Corp./The Walt Disney Co., joins ESPN Radio as VP-audio sales.

Solbright has added John Nives as senior VP-worldwide sales and marketing. Mr. Nives brings more than 25 years of experience to his new role, including a stint as senior VP-global sales and marketing at Nielsen/Netratings. While at Nielsen, Mr. Nives created Yahoo Consumer Direct, an initiative that pioneered purchase behavior-driven targeting and ROI measurement. Additionally, he has served as senior VP-sales at 4RSystems, an analytics start-up; and VP-general manager of Nielsen/MTS HealthTrack. Solbright delivers solutions for websites to drive digital advertising.

Susie Fogelson was promoted to senior VP-marketing & brand strategy for the cooking category at Scripps Networks, which encompasses Food Network and Cooking Channel. Ms. Fogelson began her tenure at Food Network nine years ago as director-marketing, later being promoted to VP-marketing. Before joining Food Network, Ms. Fogelson worked for Nickelodeon as director-program marketing.
