Mr. Furones, 51, is currently chairman of Vitruvio/Leo Burnett, Madrid, and joint regional chief creative officer of Burnett's Europe/Middle East Africa network. Mr. Furones will continue as chairman of Vitruvio and adds worldwide creative oversight for global clients McDonald's Corp. and Fiat.
He will work closely with Cheryl Berman, chairman and chief creative officer of Leo Burnett USA, on McDonald's, and Enrico Dorizza, executive creative director of Leo Burnett/Milan on Fiat.
Mr. Furones will be based in Madrid and will report to Michael Conrad, Leo Burnett's worldwide chief creative officer.

Before he founded Vitruvio 30 in 1980, Mr. Furones worked at J. Walter Thompson and Contrapunto in Spain. In 1990, Vitruvio merged with Burnett.
Mr. Furones has served on many creative awards juries, including two panels at Cannes, the FIAP in Latin America and as the director of the San Sebastian Advertising Festival. He also served a term as president of AEAP, the Spanish advertising agencies association.
