Mediabrands has appointed Scott Beltran exec VP-chief information officer. He joins Mediabrands from Lowe Worldwide, where he had been chief information/innovation officer since 2007. While holding that post, Mr. Beltran also served as chief information officer of Interpublic Group of Cos.' independent agencies. Before he came to Lowe, Mr. Beltran was a senior executive at Accenture, Avanade (Microsoft) and Deloitte Consulting.
Roger Clark was tapped as chief financial officer for InterClick. He comes to the ad network after spending 18 years at InterActiveCorp, where he was VP of the office of the chief financial officer. InterClick also recently hired Kurt Munzinger as senior VP-sales and Heather Oxer as VP-sales for the Midwest region.
Darren Marshall has been named VP-global shopper and customer marketing at Coca-Cola. He has relocated to Atlanta from Hong Kong, where he was VP-group marketing director for the Pacific Group. Mr. Marshall joined the beverage company in 1998 and has held a variety of marketing roles throughout Asia during his tenure. Before joining Coca-Cola, Mr. Marshall spent time at Taco Bell and Procter & Gamble.
DraftFCB, Seattle, announced the promotion of Nick Chapman to VP-creative director and Jamie Krummel to senior VP-account director. Mr. Chapman joined the agency in 2004 from Wirestone, where he was technical director and business analyst. In 1996 he founded NeoMedia, one of Idaho's first digital shops. Ms. Krummel joined DraftFCB in 2000 to launch Hewlett-Packard's PurchasEdge program and was most recently a VP.
Turner Sports Ad Sales elevated Jennifer Barendrecht to VP-Western region from Western region sales manager. Ms. Barendrecht joined Turner Broadcasting in 2000. In her new role, she will continue to strengthen the relationships she has cultivated with major West Coast movie studios.
Kimberly Philo has been named VP-media advertising and promotion at CBS Television Distribution. She comes to CBS from Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, where she spent six years in media planning and advertising, most recently serving as VP-global media since 2006. She also has a background on the stations side of the business, serving as local sales manager at KCBS-TV, Los Angeles, from 1990 to 2000 and local sales manager at KNBC-TV, Los Angeles, before that.
Omnicom Group's the Marketing Arm appointed Jeff Erickson VP-digital engagement, a new position. Mr. Erickson joins the Marketing Arm from Tribal DDB/Red Urban (formerly Virion). As director of account management for Tribal DDB, he managed the agency's work for brands including Pepsi, the U.S. Air Force, Frito-Lay and ExxonMobil. He will be based in Dallas.
Ben Arno joined Organic as VP-engagement management. In his new role, he will lead Organic's Procter & Gamble relationship worldwide, while also working closely with Bank of America. Before joining Organic, Mr. Arno was a consultant conducting digital strategy and global brand building with Organic clients such as Bank of America Home Loans and Global Wealth Management. Before that he was global business director at DDB.
