Gregory Jorgensen Takes New Post at Security Software Provider

SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- Network Associates, marketer of McAfee Security and other anti-virus and security software products, has named Gregory Jorgensen to the new position of senior vice president of marketing.

Mr. Jorgensen, 45, will be charged with creating a global marketing campaign and implementing a "worldwide branding strategy," the company said in a statement.

for a number of advertising agencies including the former Goldberg Moser O'Neill, was vice president of worldwide marketing at CrossWorlds Software when it was acquired by IBM in January. Since then, he was a senior consultant with IBM's Solutions and Strategy division.

Network Associates currently is working with Grey Global Group's Grey Worldwide, San Francisco, and other agencies on a project basis.

Last year, Network Associates spent $3.3 million on advertising, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR. Spending from January through June of this year was $794,000.
