Shona Seifert Will be New President-CEO

By Published on .

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Shona Seifert will be named president-CEO of Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day, New York, people familiar with the move confirmed to AdAge.com.

Ms. Seifert, currently managing director-client services, at WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather, New York, will replace Carl Johnson. Mr. Johnson, who was named New York president in 1999, will continue as chief operating officer of TBWA Worldwide, a position he assumed in April 2001. It has long been known that Mr. Johnson was actively searching for his successor in the New York office.

Officials from TBWA/Chiat/Day would not comment. It is not known when the appointment will be effective.

Ms. Seifert could not be reached for comment. She most recently worked on the $400 million AT&T Wireless account, which Ogilvy won in the summer of 2001.
