Ogilvy & Mather announced three executive promotions: Chief Digital Creative Officer Lars Bastholm adds the title of chief creative officer, Ogilvy & Mather, New York, to his responsibilities; Lauren Crampsie is moving to the new post of chief marketing officer for Ogilvy & Mather North America from director of business development; and Dan Burrier is shifting to chief innovation officer for North America from chief creative officer of Ogilvy & Mather West.
Euro RSCG Discovery, the data and analytics arm of Euro RSCG Worldwide, has appointed Clive Maclean chief executive officer. Most recently, Mr. Maclean worked with Naked, Engauge and Whittmanhart via his consultancy, Clive Maclean Consulting. Prior to that, Maclean served as North American president of The Marketing Store, where he worked with the likes of McDonald's, Coca-Cola and Allstate. Before joining The Marketing Store, Mr. Maclean ran Kestenbaum Consulting, part of WPP's Wunderman. He's also served as president of FCB Direct in Chicago, as well as Leo Burnett Interactive in South Africa, where he is originally from.
Herb Scannell has been named president of BBC Worldwide America. Mr. Scannell has previously served as president of Nickelodeon Networks and vice chairman of MTV Networks, and was most recently CEO of Next New Networks, a digital media company he co-founded in 2006. In his new role, he will be responsible for growing the BBC brand and the business across all divisions in the U.S., its largest market outside the U.K.
Bill Wise is joining MediaBank as chief executive officer. He comes to the technology-solutions provider from Yahoo, where he was general manager-ad platforms and global exchange. In that position, he was responsible for digital-advertising exchange Right Media Exchange and APT by Yahoo, the company's media-planning and -buying platform. Mr. Wise was previously president of Right Media, which was acquired by Yahoo in 2007.
Discovery Communications has promoted 23-year Discovery executive Bill Goodwyn to president-global distribution and CEO of Discovery Education. He was previously president-domestic distribution and enterprises. In this role, he oversaw the relaunch of Discovery Education, and headed the team responsible for driving the business in the K-12 marketplace. In his newly created position, Mr. Goodwyn will be charged with driving ongoing value for the company's content and leading efforts to secure additional carriage for Discovery's 100-plus worldwide networks.
Remy Cointreau USA has appointed Philippe Roederer as senior VP-marketing and Nicolas Heriard Dubreuil as director-digital marketing. Prior to joining Remy Cointreau in May, Mr. Roederer was CEO of Voss USA and later promoted to president of Voss America. Mr. Heriard-Dureuil was previously a strategy consultant and an internet-based design business entrepreneur.
World Wrestling Entertainment has tappedEddie Hill as senior VP-marketing. Mr. Hill comes to WWE from American Express, where he spent the past two years as VP-head of U.S. advertising and global agency management and spearheaded the "Are You a Cardmember?" and "Don't Take Chances -- Take Charge" campaigns. Prior to American Express, he was VP-marketing for Nickelodeon and Nick Movies.
