Randy Susan Wagner, who previously served as the company's CMO of the Americas region, departed Orbitz earlier this year after less than three years in the role.

Veteran marketer
Mr. Davidoff, 45, whose official title is senior VP-CMO, brings to Orbitz nearly two decades' worth of marketing experience, most recently having served as VP-brand marketing and communications, Whirlpool Corp. Previously, he helped establish Chicago marketing agency Upshot and held marketing roles at Citibank.

As part of his new duties, Mr. Davidoff will be responsible for offline and online marketing leadership for Orbitz's global portfolio of online travel brands, which include CheapTickets and Away.com domestically, ebookers in Europe and HotelClub in Australia.

"It is important we take advantage of our growing and expanding international footprint and leverage marketing synergies where they exist," Steve Barnhart, CEO-president, Orbitz Worldwide, said in a statement. "The appointment of Jeff Davidoff injects new energy, insights and passion into our company's highly recognized brands, and sets the stage for a global approach to our offline and online marketing programs."
