People on the Move: Blippar Taps Ariff Quli as Chief Commercial Officer, North America

Brent Lux and Lindsay Lichtenberg Are Also on the Move

Blippar has hired Ariff Quli as chief commercial officer of North America. Mr. Quli will be responsible for centralizing the company's efforts in North America and determining key performance indicators to measure its long-term growth and success. He joined the company from Vibrant Media, where he served as president of the Americas. Prior to Vibrant Media, he held senior level executive positions at companies such as CNET Networks, IDG, PC Mall & MicroWarehouse.

Spark announced the promotion of Brent Lux to exec VP-managing director. He will continue to oversee product and business development at the agency. Mr. Lux will lead both strategy and product development across a wide variety of client and strategy teams. Prior to Spark, he held media director positions and a managing director position at companies such as Starcom, Draftfcb and OMD Chicago.

Lindsay Lichtenberg has been promoted to senior VP-publishing platform and partnerships at Starcom MediaVest Group. She leads the development and execution of SMG's agile marketing solution, Content@SCALE. Prior to joining the company, she worked at MindSphere where she served as social marketing director, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Giant Spoon announced three new hires and two promotions.

Albert Kugel joined the agency as strategist at its Los Angeles office. Mr. Kugel has been working as a freelance strategist on Giant Spoon's HP account. Previously, he held a client-manager position Landor Associates, and prior, he served as manager of brand partnerships at Clear Channel.

Justin Luk has also been added as strategist at its New York office, working across multiple accounts. Prior to joining, Mr. Luk was a strategic planner at TBWAMedia Arts Lab, where he helped develop and execute integrated campaigns and product launches including Apple Watch.

Anna Ondaatje has been tapped as project manager at the company's Los Angeles office. Prior to joining Giant Spoon, Ms. Ondaatje was working in Argentina, serving as a digital marketing strategist for a number of startups including Everypost, Ironhack and Curiosityville. She recently co-founded a motorcycle messenger and same-day local delivery app, Gotu.

Nathalie Con has been promoted to senior strategist from strategist. Ms. Con joined the company last year and has primarily been working on the NBC account and new business. Prior to joining Giant Spoon, she was a strategic planner at Rubin Postaer and Associates (RPA).

Adam Wiese has also been named senior strategist. Mr. Wiese joined the agency six months ago as strategist and has been leading the HP business, handling strategy, audience insights and product naming. Before joining the agency, Mr. Wiese was a freelance strategist, handling research and strategy for clients, including SenseLabs, Quiksilver, and CRT/Tanaka.
