Chris Hassall, former global external relations officer at Procter & Gamble, joined APCO Worldwide as a member of the firm's International Advisory Council (IAC). Dr. Hassall joined P&G in 1983 as a research analyst after earning his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Arizona. Mr. Hassall served in P&G's global offices including Guangzhou and Geneva, overseeing external relations for Asia, Greater China, Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. After retiring from P&G in 2012, Hassall returned to Guangzhou to teach in the MBA and EMBA programs at the Sun Yat-Sen University Business School.
Cumulus Media appointed Pierre Bouvard to the newly created role of chief marketing officer. Prior to Cumulus, Mr. Bouvard was senior VP-sales for TiVo Research & Analytics, Inc. where he led cross-media targeting and sales lift measurement engagements for Procter & Gamble, Comcast, Turner Broadcasting and NBCU. He has held executive positions at Arbitron Inc. and Coleman Insights, leading sales and market research, respectively.
Communispace named Jonathan Stinnett as VP-managing director at its New York City office. Mr. Stinnett joins the firm from Citi, where he served as director of research and insights. He also served as the chief of staff for the chief marketing officer in the retail services division at Citi. Prior to joining Citi, Jonathan served clients in a range of industries while working for creative agencies such as Havas and TBWAChiatDay.
Pearl Media restructured the agency into two distinct divisions, outdoor media and experiential, and promoted Jesse Sugarman to senior VP-business development for outdoor media. In this new role, Mr. Sugarman's responsibilities include management of the national Outdoor Media sales team, development of strategic partnerships and management of client accounts. Mr. Sugarman, who joined Pearl Media in 2011 from Kinetic, previously was VP-business development at Pearl Media.
Kingsday announced three new hires. Simon Cachera was appointed to digital and social strategist. Mr. Cachera previously worked as digital and social-media strategist at Marcel/Publicis and La Chose. Amanda Tonkin will serve as account manager. Mr. Tonkin joins from Amsterdam's United State of Fans, where she was responsible for the Nissan account. The firm also tapped Susanne Crooy as account manager. Ms. Crooy comes from Havas Worldwide Amsterdam, where she was senior account manager.
