Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide has hired Greg Edwards as senior vice president, account director. He will provide support to new business and will assist in building the agency's retail practice. Mr. Edwards joins Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide from the Chicago-based marketing agency Alfred Kato, where he served as managing director. He has more than 20 years of brand marketing experience with clients such as Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Frito Lay, Quaker and Gerber.
Torsten Gross has been named SVP, group planning director on the Microsoft Office business for Deutsch NY. Mr. Gross previously served as group planning director at R/GA, where he oversaw Verizon Wireless and Telecom, Pfizer, AARP, PwC and Televisa. Prior to his time at R/GA, he founded and later sold consultancy FatBaby Innovation. Mr. Gross also spent time at BBDO NY and media agency PHD, working on brands such as Bank of America, Motorola, and The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. As a director of strategy at Fahrenheit 212, he worked on developing new products and services for clients like Coca-Cola, Capital One and Starwood.
Millennial Media has appointed Mollie Spilman to the newly created role of executive vice president and CMO. Ms. Spilman joins Millennial Media from Yahoo, where she served as chief marketing officer. Prior to her role as CMO, she served as the senior vice president of B-to-B marketing, senior vice president of commerce and Yahoo's head of marketing for the Americas. Before Yahoo, Ms. Spilman was chief sales & marketing officer of Advertising.com, president and CEO of Three Stage Media as well as CEO of Tidal TV (now Videology). She has also held other senior positions at media companies including Time Warner , Meredith Corporation, Discovery Networks and Phase2Media.
Dasher Lowe is joining Ogilvy & Mather Chicago as managing director of OgilvyOne. He spent the majority of his 20-year career at Draftfcb, but most recently he worked at Starcom MediaVest Group's Performance Marketing as EVP/managing director. Prior to that , Mr. Lowe held the role of SVP/director of client services and strategy at TargetCom.
Mr. Lowe will report to Lee Newman who assumed the newly created position of president in April 2012. David Hernandez, who previously held the role of managing director of OgilvyOne, is serving as digital executive creative director, Ogilvy Chicago.
