Widmeyer Communications named David Poisson senior VP. Before moving to the Washington-based public-relations company, Mr. Poisson ran Jenkins Hill Partners, where he advised clients on legislative PR matters.

John Burbank joined AOL, New York, as chief marketing officer. Previously, he served as exec VP-marketing for AT&T.

CurtCo Media named David Arnold senior VP-group publisher of the Robb Report Magazine Group. For the past seven years, Mr. Arnold has been publisher of Hearst's House Beautiful magazine.

Jeff Hasen became chief marketing officer at mobile-marketing firm HipCricket, Bellevue, Wash. Previously, he led global strategic communications at online directory InfoSpace. In addition, HipCricket named Tom Virgin chief financial officer. He was formerly senior VP-cheif financial officer for software developer Talyst.

Singapore-based Global Brands Group appointed Gary H. Schoenfeld president and co-CEO. Mr. Schoenfeld has been with the brand-management firm since last year, and he's the former CEO of footwear-and-apparel company Vans.

Michael Asaro jumped to G2 Direct & Digital, New York, taking on the role of director-digital operations. Prior to joining the WPP agency, he was director-project management at Omnicom's Tequila.

Oxygen named Mary Jeanne Cavanagh exec VP-ad sales. She formerly was senior VP-national ad sales at Oxygen.
